SGP Partnership Announces Minuteman Press, Lawrence KS as the Twelfth Certified SGP Printer
December 15, 2009 -- The Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SM) welcomes the additiion of Minuteman Press, Lawrence KS as the twelfth printer to become a certified SGP Printer.
Since opening the certification program just over a year ago, the SGP Partnership has received a steady flow of applications from facilities wanting to be recognized for their sustainability efforts. In addition to the 12 certified SGP Printers, there are more than 50 SGP Applicants working through the certification process.
Minuteman Press of Lawrence, KS staff has over 150 years of combined graphic arts experience and has been recognized for excellence, quality, ethics, giving and volunteering in their community. Their journey to become a SGP Printer is an example of the dedication the staff has to each other, their customers, their community and their environment. Along with being a certified SGP Printer, the facility is also a small business, certified by the State of Kansas as a Women Business Enterprise (WBE) and a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE). A true business-to-business printer that handles everything from basic stationery, forms and newsletters, to on-demand color printing. Minuteman Press has received the 2007 Northeast Kansas Business Ethics Award in the small business category! Any and all companies with fewer than 250 employees in the northeast Kansas region were eligible for the award. The award is sponsored by the Northeast Kansas Society of Financial Service Professionals and was announced Tuesday June 19th at the society’s annual meeting. This award recognizes companies that exemplify and practice exceptional ethical behavior in everyday business conduct which is an ideal that is always at the forefront of our minds while providing customers with the very best products and services.
